As VP of Operations at The Benefit Doctor, I focus on building efficient systems and driving sustainable growth. I develop processes that streamline workflows and empower our team to deliver exceptional service. With a people-first leadership approach, I help align strategy with execution to support our clients, strengthen our team, and scale the business effectively.

What do you love most about supporting our clients?

I love creating seamless processes that make insurance more understandable and accessible for our clients. By ensuring our operations run efficiently, I help provide a smooth experience that saves clients time and reduces frustration. Seeing the direct impact of our work—helping businesses and their employees navigate benefits with confidence—is incredibly rewarding.

What is a common challenge you help solve?

A common challenge I help solve is bridging the gap between complex insurance information and clear, actionable guidance. I ensure our team has the right processes and resources to communicate effectively, so clients understand their benefits and make informed decisions. By focusing on education and transparency, we help eliminate confusion and create a smoother experience for employers and employees alike.

What’s one thing clients / HR teams don’t realize about what you do?

Many clients and HR teams don’t realize how much behind-the-scenes strategy goes into making their benefits experience seamless. From optimizing workflows to ensuring accurate and timely communication, I focus on the details that keep everything running smoothly. My goal is to remove roadblocks so they can focus on their business while trusting that their benefits are handled with care.

We take the time to educate clients, ensuring they understand their benefits rather than just selecting a plan. Fun fact about you outside of work?

I’m a Cleveland Browns fan—no matter how the season goes. The highs and lows are part of the experience, and there’s nothing like the camaraderie of being a fan in Cleveland, rooting for the underdog.

Advice for anyone trying to create change and make an impact?

My advice is to approach change like a consultant, not a salesperson—focus on listening and understanding the real needs of those you’re working with. By asking the right questions and truly hearing their challenges, you can offer solutions that are thoughtful and tailored to their situation. Building trust through active listening creates lasting relationships and leads to more impactful, sustainable change.
