What is your role at The Benefit Doctor?
I work with business owners to ensure a seamless open enrollment experience, educate employees on their benefits, and provide year-round support to both Human Resources and employees.
What do you love most about supporting our clients?
I truly enjoy getting to know business owners, hearing their stories, and understanding their journey—where they are today and their vision for the future. I also take the time to connect with each employee as an individual, building relationships over the years to ensure their benefits align with both business growth and employee needs. Much like the relationship one has with a trusted hairdresser, these conversations often go beyond the surface, providing deeper insight into what employees value most. This understanding allows me to help businesses offer benefits that are both meaningful and appreciated.
What is a common challenge you help solve?
A common challenge I help solve is the complexity and confusion surrounding insurance, which can often feel overwhelming. By building and educating employees on their benefits, I simplify the process, remove uncertainties, and create a more positive experience. This leads to more confident, informed employees and, ultimately, happier business owners.
What’s one thing clients / HR teams don’t realize about what you do?
Clients and HR professionals are often thrilled to learn that I manage employee enrollment, provide benefits education, and offer year-round support to both employees and HR teams. By taking on these responsibilities, I help HR reclaim valuable time and alleviate the stress of open enrollment, making the process more efficient and seamless.

At BenDoc, we don’t believe in the last-minute spreadsheet approach that pops up 30 days before renewal. Instead, we take the time to truly listen and grow with each client, building benefits programs that reflect their vision and future goals. It’s not just about checking a box—it’s about creating a strategy that evolves with their business and employees
Fun fact about you outside of work?
I’m an avid hunter and currently hold the household record for largest whitetail deer and bobcat.
Advice for anyone trying to create change and make an impact?
If you truly want to make a difference and create an impact, you have to step outside your comfort zone. It’s in those moments of fear and discomfort where the most amazing results happen. Going all in and believing in what you’re doing is the key to achieving something extraordinary. Don’t fear failure, as it’s often the first lesson toward growth.
